Sale Item of the Month:

On sale for: $40!

Carpe Diem Volleyball is a non-profit organization! As you look at our needs you will be able to write them off as a tax deduction!

Thank you to Dave Zelenock, assistant coach at Central Michigan! The cam was a great success! Thanks also for the ‘fee’ of diapers and canned goods! The Pregnancy Resource Center and God’s Kitchen were very appreciative!!

Thanks also to Brittany Smith, Head Coach of Taylor University, for coming to our practice! What a wealth of information!! Plus, it was just wonderful for us to see her again!

If you have any prayer requests please feel free to share them with us! Be sure to let us know if you'd like your request included in the newsletter or kept private. Thanks to those who have trusted us and presented their requests – what a privilege to carry those to God in prayer!

Praise God for protecting Amber (a player) and Michelle (her mom) in their separate car accidents on the same day! Michelle is pretty bruised and was recovering from a surgery when on her way to Amber’s accident (run off the highway by a drunk driver in the afternoon!) her car rolled over 2 ½ times! Amber suffered a concussion and whiplash, so please be in prayer for both of them! It could have been much worse and we are praising God for shielding them from further harm!

Please continue to be in prayer for a wonderful man who claims to be an atheist. Pray that the scales are removed from his eyes and heart, and that the Lord surrounds him with Godly people who will love him as Christ Himself loves us!

We have 7 teams and amazing coaches with every team! Praise God for answered prayer! Ryan and Jordan are student teaching right now and graduating this spring, and Becca recently started a new job – please be in prayer for these young, busy people preparing to give of themselves to the youth of the area!

Another blood drive is in the works! Keep looking on the website for more information!

Facility Update:

CARPE DIEM SPORTS AND WELLNESS CENTER!!

Can you believe this is our second anniversary? We have been in our building for 2 years now! Praise God for His guidance and provision, and thanks to all of you who have made these past 2 years so memorable and exciting!

If your business is interested in advertising at our place, contact David. We have a great amount of wall space for banners!! Cost for advertising is: 250.00/year and you supply the banner. 350.00/ year and we will get a banner made for you.

Our annual fundraiser started. Buy an advertisement for our program guide. Prices range from $40 for a business card size to $180 for a full page ad. Act soon! January 25 is the last day to turn ads in! Contact David for more information!

We'd love to have a ‘library' in the facility! If you have any new or gently used, family friendly books, please bring them in! This prompts another need – somewhere to store them! If you have a bookshelf to donate, we'd really appreciate it! People have already taken advantage of our ‘cozy' reading supply!

THANK YOU to all those who have donated their time, money and ‘stuff'!! We sure appreciate you and would not be near where we are without your support! PLEASE continue to pray for us! We need every kind of support you can think of, especially prayer and financial!

•  Help us fill up the facility: renting out courts for parties, running basketball teams, bringing in inspirational speakers, exercise/Pilates classes, AAU tournaments, and eventual tutoring programs/after school programs and Bible studies, along with the ‘normal' stuff we do! If you have ANY other ideas for us, please let us know! We need to keep this place filled for financial reasons, but we also need to use it to minister to all people! If you are interested in renting out the facility, please contact David .

• This is huge and we know God will provide for all our needs! Knowing that God uses people to fill the needs of others, we are letting go of any earthly pride and asking for help! Here are some of our needs! Needed: projector, financial assistance and any connections with local businesses!

Blessings,
David and Michelle Vander Meer

'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.'  Matthew 22:37

"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."  John 13:34-35

“Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.”  John 15:13

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”  Romans 8:28

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?”  Romans 8:35

“neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”  Romans 8:39

“If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails.”
1 Corinthians 13:1-8
